Our Story:

We met nineteen years ago while traveling across the country in a Christian drama company.  Afterwards, we kept in touch through email and phone calls and we began dating long distance and eventually got engaged.  Our wedding took place August of 2007 in a quaint little church in Connecticut with family and friends on a beautiful Summer day.  We enjoy going to sporting events, seeing a broadway musical, camping, hiking, kayaking, viewing a movie, and mostly spending time at home playing with our pets.

About Adam:  by Taryn

Adam is a caring, loyal, and loving husband who will be an amazing father.  I love that he always makes sure I am cared for and he can always make me laugh!   He is an avid sports fan; and he has run several races including two half marathons.  He also has found fun in coaching middle school track and field, cross country, and basketball.   Adam enjoys reading and is skilled at voicing children’s books.  He is an excellent at home chef,  my favorite dishes of his are Lasagna, bell pepper soup, and cookies.  As a teacher, Adam enjoys learning, working with kids, laughing and helping others to learn and grow.

About Taryn:  by Adam

Taryn is a caregiver and an excellent problem solver with a beautiful heart; I know without a doubt she will be an amazing mother to your child.  She is smart and truly cares about making others lives better, which makes her a great nurse.  She never lost her childlike sense of wonder and adventure, which will greatly pair with a child’s imagination.  She is musically talented and creative and crafty, always finding a new project to work on around the house.  It is a wonderful thing to be able to share laughter and love with my best friend.

Where we live:

Our home is on the edge of suburbia and the country.  We have a 3 bedroom home with 2.5 bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, a partially finished basement, and a large fenced in yard just waiting to be played in.  Our neighborhood has several ponds where kids and families come to fish.  Occasionally a Bald Eagle will fly over, and there are always ducks to feed at the pond.  In the mornings and evenings the sidewalks are filled with people walking their dogs and kids riding bikes and scooters.  Many families decorate their homes in festive ways for the holidays, too.  We wish to create lasting memories for a child at home and at other places:  including trips to the zoo, camping out, going to the lake and ocean, apple picking, Christmas mornings, and so much more!

Our hope:

We have always wanted to grow our family  and we are so honored to be on this journey to adopt.  We wish to bring laughter and smiles to your child and give your child a life full of love, understanding, and possibilities.  Thank you for taking the time to learn about us.  We would love to learn more about you and are interested in an open adoption at your level of comfort.
