How To Get Started
Adoption
Adoption can feel overwhelming. We’re here to help! AGCI is committed to being with you every step of the way on your journey to adopt a child. Below you’ll find the initial first steps for beginning your international adoption journey!
AGCI adoption staff will review this application to determine your family’s eligibility for specific adoption programs. Each country has its own set of eligibility requirements—a pre-app allows our inquiry team to provide direction on the international adoption programs that would best fit your family.
Upon receipt of your pre-app, a member of our adoption team will reach out to you within one business day to discuss the adoption programs that might be the best fit for your family.

Prospective adoptive parents must complete the formal application and submit a $300 non-refundable adoption application fee. Upon application approval, you have officially begun your international adoption journey! *Before completing the application, please ensure you have connected with one of our adoption advisors within the last two months to confirm eligibility.
Next, you will receive an international adoption orientation packet that includes the adoption service agreement, fees, and a country-specific service plan for your family. Your adoption advisor will schedule a call to review these with you and discuss the next steps.
Adoptive parents will choose a home study agency from AGCI’s approved list of adoption home study agencies.
This is the best and often the hardest part of the adoption process. Please know that we are here for you every step of the way! We are so grateful for the opportunity to walk this amazing journey with you!
Our Inquiry team and Adoption Specialists are always happy to provide additional information about All God’s Children International adoption programs. Available information includes the number of children eligible for adoption who are currently waiting for a placement referral; the number of applicants we receive each year; the number of adoption placements we have made; the number and percentage of those placements that have been disrupted or dissolved. We seek to be fully transparent about the adoption process, so you can make a well-informed choice of the right agency to partner with you to successfully complete your adoption journey.
