Open Arms Adoptions Newsletter

a poster indicating the National Foster Care Month

The statistics of children in our nation’s foster care system are staggering.  Nationwide, there are more than 100,000 children in foster care waiting for their forever families.

According to the Ohio’s Foster Care & Adoption website:

  • more than 2,600 children in Ohio are waiting to be adopted;
  • more than 1,000 of them are teenagers;
  • Many of them are part of a sibling group.

Every effort is made to keep siblings together because every sibling group deserves the chance to grow up together.  Hopefully those numbers resonate with you on why our work is critical!
We thank all foster parents for the daily and hard work they do for the children in their care.   Join with us in thanking a foster parent in your community!
