This month we are focusing on What’s New! It’s exciting all the new things that are happening around here and we just wanted to share that with you!

It has been said the only constant in life is change and we certainly believe that as we are growing and adding new staff, space and donors. Our HR committee has been interviewing social work and office administrative positions for both offices. Stay tuned for these new staff to be identified.

Last by not least, we appreciate new donors such as Sam’s Club (Store #4750) and ITW Foundation for their recent gifts!

Jackie Smigel is the Founder and Executive Director of Open Arms Adoptions, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit adoption agency licensed by the State of Ohio, with offices in Kent, Columbus, and Delaware. She has worked in adoption for more than 30 years and continues to carry her own caseload alongside leading the agency, which places children through infant adoption, foster care adoption, and special needs adoption, and supports expectant parents considering their options. Her work keeping and reuniting sibling groups led AdoptUSKids to recognize her as an Outstanding Caseworker in 2022, on the nomination of a mother she helped adopt three siblings together.
